Giavante’ “Gigi” Hawkins serves as the Executive Director of the Maryland Society of Accounting & Tax Professionals (MSATP). With a professional foundation built at organizations like the American Bankers Association, Gigi brings both operational depth and a people-centered vision to her leadership of MSATP.

As a current member of the Maryland Comptroller’s Tax Workgroup and former member of the Maryland Comptroller’s Transition Team, Gigi stays at the forefront of the policies and priorities that matter most to Maryland’s tax and accounting community.

She is passionate about positioning MSATP as a fully diverse, forward-thinking organization — one that offers educational pathways that meet members where they are. Gigi holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Saint Vincent College and a master’s degree in Non-Profit and Association Management from the University of Maryland University College.

When she’s not at work, you’ll find her with her family, in the gym, or discovering somewhere new. A Washington, D.C. native, she is proud to call Anne Arundel County, Maryland home.

Kelly Ebaugh serves as the Assistant Executive Director of the Maryland Society of Accounting & Tax Professionals (MSATP), where she has been a dedicated member of the team since 2015. Starting as an Administrative Assistant and growing through the ranks to Membership Director and now Assistant Executive Director, Kelly brings over a decade of institutional knowledge and a genuine passion for the organization and its members.

In her role, Kelly oversees sponsorships and partnerships, membership services, and event coordination — touching nearly every aspect of the member experience. She has been instrumental in expanding MSATP’s student membership program and cultivating partner relationships that deliver meaningful value to the Society’s  members across Maryland.

Though Kelly grew up in Florida, she returned to Maryland — where her family is originally from — to build a life with her husband Matt and start a family of her own. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her scrapbooking, gardening, or antiquing. She breeds English Labrador Retrievers and has a deep love for the breed — these days she’s happiest spending time with her two daughters and their families, and hanging out with her six Labs.

Katie grew up in Laurel, Maryland, and currently lives in Columbia, Maryland. She graduated from Notre Dame of Maryland University in 2020 with B.A.s in English and Environmental Sustainability, along with a minor in Political Science.

In her free time, Katie enjoys reading, drawing, and spending time outdoors. She has recently developed a passion for running, especially endurance challenges and multi-race events, and loves the sense of community and accomplishment they bring.

Katie is an animal lover and has one cat, Evie.

Since joining MSATP in Fall 2022, Katie has focused on supporting and engaging volunteers and student members. She is passionate about helping members build meaningful connections, encouraging volunteerism, and creating opportunities for deeper involvement within the MSATP community.

Kristy Memphis, a Carroll County native, joined MSATP in October 2023 with a passion for member support and meaningful connection. After earning her B.S. in Communication, Technology, and Culture from Bridgewater College in 2020, she built a background in customer success and technical support roles within B2B SaaS companies.

At MSATP, Kristy brings a thoughtful, people-first approach to everything she does, whether she’s answering member questions, running member roundtables, resolving technical issues, or welcoming guests at events with her signature warmth and attention to detail.

Outside of work, Kristy lives in Westminster with her husband, Jake, and their dog, Rue. She enjoys reading, road trips, visiting national parks, and discovering new local spots with friends and family.

Before joining MSATP, Tasha pivoted from her professional background in athletic training, during the height of the pandemic and started her own video and live-streaming production company, T. Butler Creative, in 2021. Since its inception, Tasha has helped women-owned businesses connect with their communities through storytelling, live streaming, and hybrid/virtual event production.

Tasha is a proud alumnus of Towson University, Georgetown University, and the Community College of Baltimore County. When Tasha’s not busy working, she enjoys cooking meals at home, spending time in her garden, and watching movies with her husband.
